Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and start your trip to the Temple of Kalabsha.  It was built 40 miles south of Aswan at Bab al-Kalabsh by Toutmosis II and Amenophis II.  During the Roman conquest, the temple was restored.  But it was relocated and near the High Dam on a hill along the western bank. The temple was a tribute to the Lower Nubian sun god Mandulis. Witness the fine carving on the wall and a staircase that leads to the roof of the temple where you can enjoy the view of the whole temple and a lake.

Then visit the much awaited Nubian Museum opened last 1997. It was built on a fascinating landscape, a steep cliff land.  It houses thousands of pieces of antiques from different ages from Pharaonic, Roman, Geological, Coptic and Islamic times are all on display in the museum. Most pieces were found under the waters of Lake Nasser.  The name "Nubia" originated from the ancient Egyptian Nbu which means gold, since the area is famous for gold mines.  Enjoy the demonstrated Nubian life scenes with life-size displays.
