4 Days and 3 Nights from Aswan to Luxor (Friday)
Day 1: Arrive in Aswan - Start of the Tour
To ensure your convenience we will have someone from 123EgyptTours.com meet you at the airport or the train station. Transfer to the docking area for you to embark on the MS Mirage 1 Nile Cruise Ship by a private air-conditioned vehicle. After lunch enjoy a guided tour to the sights in the city of Aswan such as the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae with dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 2: Tour of Kom Ombo and Edfu
Go on the topmost deck to experience the air and atmosphere of the Nile River. Enjoy breakfast while sailing to Kom Ombo where you will find two adjacent temples dedicated to different gods, Sobek and Haeroris. Have lunch on board then, sail to Edfu to visit Horus temple in Edfu. Have tea in the afternoon while sailing to Esna.
Day 3: Enjoying Luxor's East Side Temples
This morning you will cruise downstream and north towards Luxor. Enjoy breakfast and lunch onboard then explore the Nile River's East Bank in Luxor. Get on a sightseeing tour to see the Karnak and Luxor temples. You will be transferred back to the Nile cruise ship for afternoon tea and dinner on board with overnight stay on the MS Mirage 1 Nile Cruise Ship in Luxor
Day 4: End of Tour in Luxor - See the Remaining Sights at the West Bank
The tour of Luxor does not end in the East Bank of the Nile. You will be delighted to discover that the West Bank has some amazing sites for you to discover as well. Located in this side of the Nile is the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi Memnon and at El Deir EL Bahari Queen Hatshepsut. You will be given some free time for personal leisure and shopping before transferring to the airport or train station for departure.
5 Days and 4 Nights from Luxor to Aswan (Monday)
Day 1: Arrive Luxor Start of the Tour
Travel upstream from Luxor to Aswan. Upon arrival in Luxor our representative will meet you to assist your transfer to MS Mirage 1 Nile Cruise Ship embarkation area. Right after lunch take time to discover the Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, city of the god Amon-Ra. Take time to visit the Karnak and Luxor temples. The rest of the day will be spent aboard the ship for some dinner and nightly entertainment.
Day 2: Day Tour of Luxor - Discover the West Bank
After enjoying an early morning meal, the day will be spent visiting the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor. Do not miss a chance to see the Valley of the Kings first used as a royal necropolis by Thutmosis I. Visit as well the important sites such as the El Deir EL Bahari’s Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch and afternoon tea while sailing to Edfu via Esna Lock.
Day 3: Day Tour of Edfu and Kom Ombo - Home of Two Famous Temples
Edfu was the capital of the second nome of Upper Egypt. The main attraction in Edfu will be the Temple of Horus, considered to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt, although there is a mound of rubble to the west of the Temple which is probably the original old city of Djeba. Join a guided tour, get to see the Horus temple. Visit the temple after enjoying breakfast onboard then return to ship for lunch while you cruise towards Kom Ombo the site of the temple shared by Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing to Aswan where you will spend the night and have dinner.
Day 4: Tour of Aswan - Egypt's Engineering Capital
Pay a visit to the High Dam in Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Philae temple with a visit to the Botanical Garden by felucca. Spend the night in Aswan on board the Nile cruise ship.
Day 5: End of Tour
The tour ends right after breakfast, disembark then you will be given some free time for leisure in the city. Transfer to the Aswan airport or at the train station for final departure.
8 Days and 7 Nights Round Trip Luxor Tour (Every Monday)
Day 1: Arrive Luxor and Start Cruise
Once you are in Luxor we will have a representative meet you for your transfers to the MS Mirage Nile Cruise Ship on an air conditioned vehicle. In the afternoon you will be joined by an Egypt tour guide to a visit of the east bank of the Nile in Luxor. The east bank is home to Karnak and Luxor Temples. Return to the ship for afternoon tea, dinner and nightly entertainment.
Day 2: Day Tour in Luxor - The Best of the East Bank
After breakfast, you will be accompanied for a wonderful tour to visit East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to the Karnak and Luxor temples. Karnak was known as Ipet-isut, 'The most select of places'. The temple complex of Karnak was built over a time period of 1500 years and was the most important place of worship in ancient Egypt. Return to the ship for the remainder of the day and enjoy world class entertainment and amenities.
Day 3: Discover the Ancient Temple of Horus - Edfu Day Tour
Dedicated to Horus, the falcon headed god, it was built during the reigns of six Ptolemies, the Horus Temple found in Edfu is not only the best preserved ancient temple in Egypt, but the second largest after Karnak. It was believed that the temple was built on the site of the great battle between Horus and Seth. Sail to Edfu early and upon arrival at Edfu, you will be accompanied by your knowledgeable guide to visit this interesting temple. After the grand tour sail to Kom Ombo where you will be having dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4: Visiting Aswan - The Southernmost City of Egypt
Aswan is Egypt's sunniest southern city and ancient frontier town. Once there pay a visit to the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Philae temple with a visit to the Botanical garden by felucca overnight in Aswan on board the MS Mirage 1 Nile Cruise Ship.
Day 5: Optional Tour to Abu Simbel
The temples at Abu Simbel were formerly located further down the hillside, facing the Nile in the same relative positions, but due to the rising waters of Lake Nasser, the original locations are now underwater. In the afternoon visit the botanical Garden by Felucca ride.
Day 6: Discover the Dual Temples of Sobek and Haroeris - Kom Ombo Day Tour
In ancient Egypt, the city was important to the caravan routes from Nubia and various gold mines. The major attraction in Kom Ombo is the Temple of Sobek and Haeroris, located on a hill west of the village. Sail early to this town and take time to see the attractions there. The night and dinner will be spent in Esna.
Day 7: The Historical Parts of the West Bank of the Nile River - Luxor West Bank Tour
Get an early meal then you will be transferred to the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings this is where the pharaoh's were buried and hoped to meet their Gods in the afterlife. Tutankhamen’s tomb discovered in the 1920's almost untouched is perhaps the best known to most of us non-archaeologists. Also see Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi Memnon. Return in the afternoon onboard for lunch and free time.
Day 8: End of Tour
Enjoy breakfast aboard the ship then disembark from your cruise. Then you will be transferred to Luxor airport or station for departure.
