Day 1: Pyramids Tour
Our representative will meet you at Alexandria port and will be escorting you through a 2 day trip of Alexandria and Cairo. From Alexandria drive towards the first destination which is Cairo for approximately 2 ½ hours via an air-conditioned vehicle to start the first day of the trip.
In Cairo, first stop will be the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Giza. This world famous Pyramids are known to mankind as the only existing wonders of the Ancient World. From the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus move towards the Great Sphinx. This tour will also include a short visit to the Valley Temple fronting the Great Sphinx.
Transfer to the nearby Sakkara to see vast necropolis and see the Step Pyramids of Zoser, also known as the world’s oldest major stone structure. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant then proceed to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East.
Towards the end of the day proceed to the hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Egyptian Museum and Salah El Din Citadel
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then start the day with a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. This museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest and the most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. With Over 250,000 genuine artifacts presented, including an exhibit of the Child King Tutankhamen’s Treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb in Luxor for over 3,500 years before it was discovered.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before moving to the Citadel of Salah El Din, where you can visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy some time for souvenir shopping the drive towards the Port Said to board the cruise ship.
