Day 1: Temple Sightseeing in Karnak and Luxor
Our representative from 123EgyptTours.com will pick you up from Safaga Port by the cruise exit door. From there you will be transferred via modern air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, approximately 3 hours away from Safaga. Proceed to the Temple of Karnak, probably the largest place of worship ever built in the world constructed starting in the time of the Middle Kingdom to the Greco-Roman era. Continue on inside the complex to the great "Hypostyle Hall", which essentially consists of a forest of giant pillars. From the temple, drive on to the Temple of Luxor, originally built during the reign of Amenophis III over 5,000 years ago. You may also go on an optional stop at the Temple of Karnak to enjoy the spectacular Sound and Light Show. Overnight in Luxor on your hotel.
Day 2: West Bank of the Nile in Luxor
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then go out to the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, called the Colossi of Memnon, and then proceed to the Valley of the Kings, where richly decorated tombs carved deep into the desert rock and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs are found.
