From there, you will be transferred via air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, approximately 2 ½ hours away. Upon arrival in Cairo, embark on a camel caravan ride in the desert as you make your tour of the Great pyramids. Continue on your excursion to the Valley Temple then to the Great Sphinx. Go to a local restaurant for lunch, then proceed to Sakkara, Egypt's oldest ancient cemetery. Here you can visit the world's first monumental stone building, the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, built by the engineer Imhotep. Also, make a detour to one of the magnificent Mastabas (or burial chambers) of either Ptah Hotep, Idut or Mereruca.
