Day 1: Welcome to Cairo, a Mixture of the Old and New
Welcome to Cairo and see the contrast of the new and ancient in this city. On your arrival at Cairo International Airport; a representative from 123EgyptTours.com will be assisting you to get inside Egypt. After that, you will be accompanied to the hotel where you will be staying for the night that comes with a free welcome drink. Later in the evening, relax and enjoy as you have the option of visiting the Pyramids for night of world class entertainment, music and superb light show.
Day 2: Giza, The King’s Burial Sights
After a hefty breakfast at the hotel in Cairo a personal tour guide will bring you to your next destination, the old capital Memphis. From Memphis, continue your tour of the ancient Egypt Desert by travelling to Sakkara – a part of Memphis’s massive necropolis. Sakkara is the place where you will be able to view the first ever pyramid built by the architect Imhotep for the King Djoser also in Sakkara is the Teti Pyramid and tombs.
Afterwards, drive back towards Cairo to the amazing Giza Plateau, home of the world’s greatest architectural feat The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Take a camel ride and photo shoots in front of the pyramid for your personalized souvenir. Also along the Giza Plateau is the great Sphinx and the amazing valley temple facing it. Optional tours to see the solar boat (the boat that carries the pharaoh’s body across the Nile River). Overnight accommodation is arranged in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo’s Ancient Remains
After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel your personal guide will now tour you in the modern city of Cairo to see the ancient artifacts and learn more about the ancient civilization of Egypt. See the amazing exhibits of the world renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques built in neo-classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgon.
The Museums holds a collection of over 120,000 artifacts with statutes of kings, queens, gods and goddesses. There see the amazing recent discoveries of the old world including the treasures of the child king Tutankhamen. In the same museum you have the option of visiting the mummy’s room. From there, your tour will move forward towards Muqattam Hills where the Citadel of Saladin is located. Known to be one of the landmarks in Cairo Citadel of Saladin is the home of Ali Alabaster Mosque whose minaret can be seen from any part of old Cairo. Afterward visit Coptic Cairo’s Christian Heritage where you will be able to see religious monuments such as the hanging chapel. Towards the end of the day you will be visiting the Ben Ezra Synagogue, this temple houses the Jewish Heritage Library containing documents found in Egypt in 1896 that has lengthy descriptions about the Jews under the Arab rule. The night and some free time will be spent in a hotel in Cairo.
Day 4: Bahariya, the Northern Oasis
Your journey of the ancient Egypt desert will resume after breakfast in your Cairo hotel. You will be picked up by your tour guide and will travel via a private air-conditioned vehicle to Bahariya Oasis. See the groves of palms and fruit trees as you walk around the old village. Take a local tour to the English House located at the hill top ruins, the Temple of Alexander and the Golden Valley of Mummies. An overnight accommodation is arranged in Bahariya, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.
Day 5: Camping Adventure in the White Desert
The next phase of your travel will be a safari trip to the White Desert via the Black Desert and the Valley of El Haize and its amazing hot springs. On your way there, take a side trip to see the quartz crystal formations at the Crystal Mountains as well as the volcanic rocks and petrified wood in the Valley of Agabat.
When you arrive at the White Desert, take a tour to the amazing rock formations and enjoy the sunset there. Feel the serenity by camping under the vast stars of the White Desert Sky. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served throughout the day.
Day 6: Dhakla, Egypt’s most Beautiful Oasis
After a sumptuous breakfast at the White Desert Camp, relax while watching the beautiful white rocks, mountains and the wild desert roses on the way to Farafra Oasis for lunch via a 4x4 vehicle. Proceed to Dakhla Oasis, known not only to be the oasis farthest from Cairo but also the most beautiful among all the Egyptian Oases. On the way briefly stop to visit El Qasr, An Islamic Village. Get a one of a kind accommodation at El Dakhla in an oasis style hut. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served.
Day 7: Kharga, Egypt’s Largest Oasis
After spending the night in Egypt and having breakfast you will then be prepped up for your travel to the modern oasis Kharga, known to be the largest in Egypt. Kharga Oasis is the location of El Bagawat Cemetery, Nadura’s Temple and the Temple of Hibis. See local culture and ancient artifacts at the Kharga Museum. Accommodations overnight is also arranged at Sol y Mar Hotel, Breakfast Lunch and Dinner will be served throughout the day.
Day 8: Luxor, the World’s Greatest Open Air Museum
Wake up early to prepare for your trip to the world’s greatest open air museum, the city of Luxor. Continue your discovery of ancient Egypt’s desert by traveling via a modern air-conditioned vehicle. Check in to your hotel in Luxor and have some time to go around and shop for souvenirs.
Day 9: Enjoying Luxor
After your breakfast in the hotel, your tour guide will now pick you up for a day full of activities across Luxor. Visit the famous Karnak temple, Valley of the kings, Hatshepsut temple and Colossi Memnon. A superb lunch will be serve to refreshen you halfway through your tours. An overnight accommodation is prepared in Luxor.
Day 10: Aswan Egypt’s Southernmost City
Your tour of the ancient Egypt desert does not end here, right after your delicious breakfast you will be transferred to Luxor train station for a journey to the southernmost city in Egypt, Aswan. Our representative will welcome and assist you there and proceed with a tour to Philea temple, the famous High dam that caused the reconstruction of the temples, the unfinished obelisk, take a Felucca ride along the Nile River around the Elephantine Island.
A sumptuous lunch will be served, finally towards the end of the day you will be assisted for a transfer to Aswan train station for a sleeper train ride back to Cairo.
Overnight accommodation aboard the train your dinner and breakfast the day after will also be served.
Day 11: Back to Egypt’s Capital
At the Giza train station, you will be greeted and assisted by our friendly 123EgyptTours.com staff, an air-conditioned private vehicle transfer is also arranged to take you to your Cairo Hotel where you will be spending the night.
Day 12: Going Home
Get ready for your return flight home, after your breakfast at the hotel you will be assisted for your transfer to Cairo International Airport
