Day 1: Welcome to Cairo
Welcome to Cairo the home of Egypt’s most famous monuments. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport a 123EgyptTours.com representative will welcome & assist you. After which you will be transferred to your hotel via an air-conditioned vehicle. Overnight accommodation is arranged for your convenience in Cairo.
Day 2: History at Alamein & Marsa Matrouh
After having breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will then be driven via an air-conditioned vehicle to a famous site where a great battle took place during World War II. There visit the World War II Museum and Cemetery to see the relics of war. Drive on to the beautiful Mediterranean Coast where you will be able to experience the Bay of Marsa Matrouh. Overnight accommodation is arranged for your convenience in Marsa Matrouh.
Day 3: Siwa Oasis the Most Mysterious Egypt Desert Oasis
Continue your Libyan Desert Tour with a drive to the magnificent Siwa Oasis. Witness the old fortified town of Siwa to see the ancient tombs in the Mountain of the Dead. Also in Siwa Oasis visit the Temple of Amun a temple built for the god Amon also widely known as the Oracle Temple where the famous Alexander the Great consult the oracle. Further explore the amazing Siwa Oasis by paying a visit to the springs of Siwa, enjoy Cleopatra’s Bath by immersing in the bubbling pool. Stay for the night in an arranged accommodation in Siwa Oasis.
Day 4: Bahariya Oasis Egypt’s Lowest Point
After a hefty breakfast at your Siwa Oasis hotel, you will now take on an exhilarating 6 hour 4x4 ride to Bahariya Oasis the lowest point in Egypt. Lunch will be served during the trip. Accommodation for the night is arranged at a Bahariya Oasis Hotel.
Day 5: Bahariya Oasis - Secrets of the Golden Mummies
After enjoying your breakfast in your Bahariya Oasis Hotel, continue to discover this magical oasis by taking a tour around the old village to see the groves of palms and fruit trees. Then afterwards, take a trip to the old hill to see the English House for a dramatic view of the desert sunset. Proceed to see the Golden Valley of Mummies by visiting the Tombs of the Nobles. As the desert evening settles, get to shop around the village, prepare for an overnight stay at Bahariya.
Day 6: Black Desert & White Desert
After a delicious breakfast, your Journey of the Libyan Desert will proceed by heading to the White Desert, in this trip you will be passing through the Black Desert and along the hot springs at the Valley of El Haize. Finally before reaching the day’s destination , have a quick stop to see the quartz crystal formations at Crystal Mountain, then at the Valley of Agabat the petrified wood and volcanic rocks. Upon reaching the white desert, camp overnight after enjoy a Bedouin Dinner and Entertainment
Day 7: Farafra & Dakhla Oases
Prepare as you take a drive to Farafra Oasis where you will be seeing palm groves and more hot springs. This oasis boasts of traditional mud brick homes and a unique museum with exhibits by a local artist Badr’s. Next move over to the next desert oasis destination the lush and rose-colored cliffs of Dakhla. An overnight accommodation is also arranged for you in Dahkla.
Day 8: Kharga Oasis Egypt’s Southernmost Oasis
After a goodnight’s stay in Dahkla Oasis, your next stop will be the southernmost of the five largest Oases in Egypt. Just before that, enjoy a trip to the Roman temple Deir El Hagar and take in the serene surroundings as well as the see the remains of the roman burial ground Mezzawaqqah.
The first stop at Kharga Oasis will be a Roman Fortress built on the Old Caravan Route, Qasr el Labeka and see its unique ethnic Museum. From there visit the Temple of Hibis built by the Romans. Then move to Bagawat, where you will see the the early Christian Cemetery with the chapels that are painted filled with murals. Finally just before the sun set travel to the temple of Dush, a famous place of worship dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Serapis, see the neighboring Baris Oasis. Stay overnight at an accommodation in Kharga Oasis.
Day 9: Travel to the exciting city of Luxor
Right after breakfast, prepare for a 6 hour drive via an air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor the world’s largest open air Museum. Overnight accommodation is arranged for your convenience in Luxor.
Day 10: Luxor The World’s Largest Open Air Museum
Your journey of the Libyan Desert continues with a hefty breakfast at your Luxor hotel. Then after, cross the Nile River to visit the Valley of Kings and Queens. While on the other side of the Nile River, visit the temple of Deir El Bahari and the great and mighty Colossi of Memnon.
A sumptuous lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch enjoy the east bank of the River Nile by visiting the Karnak and Luxor Temples. In the evening prepare to travel by sleeper train to Cairo.
Day 11: Cairo and Giza – Save the Best for Last
Upon arrival in the morning you will be met and assisted at Giza train station by our representative, right after you will be transferred to your hotel and move to get a first hand view of Egypt’s most famous monuments. The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, included will be a travel to the Sphinx and the Valley Temple fronting it. After exploring the Giza plateau return to Cairo and feel the contrast of a modern city against an ancient backdrop. Here visit the Egyptian Museum to see vast collections of artifacts collected over hundreds of years of excavation and exploration. Overnight accommodation is arranged for your convenience in Cairo.
Day 12: Return Home
After Breakfast, you will be assisted for your transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight back home.
